One of my favorite seasons is Fall! Nothing else compares to the crisp feel of the air, beautiful leaves, and wonderful feel to the mornings! I am in my 11th week of raising full-time support. I have never been in this process for this length of time, but I am grateful for it. This is not uncommon for those joining staff. The process of raising support could take anywhere from 6 months to a year. It differs with each person.
For those of you curious as to where I am with support, as I said before I am 100% accounted for in terms of the one-time gifts. Even though I have reached the required amount, anything above that will stay in my staff account and be used a later date for conferences/retreats/ministry expenses.
In terms of monthly support, I am currently 55% pledged! (I say pledged because we are not allowed to officially count it until the support starts.)
In exactly a month I will be flying to LA to participate in the Destino Fall Retreat. I am very much excited for this! Movements from all around the West Coast will be going to Lancaster, CA to enjoy a weekend with each other and the Lord. This will be the first time I will meet personally my team! Actually, I am staying around a few days after the retreat to see the two campuses I will be working on. I am praying that soon after this time I will have the needed amount in order to report to LA.
