Last day of May

May, oh May, what a crazy month you have been!

It was in the beginning of May that I realized support was finally coming in and made the decision to move in mid-May. A friend and coworker, Joel, got married on May 17th. I had the wonderful opportunity to arrive here to LA May 16th, just in time for the wedding.

My dad stayed around in the LA area until May 19th due to the suddenness of the move and no flights out until 3 days after our arrival. May 19th-May 22nd were full of getting settled, starting the DMV process here, grocery shopping, making some calls, and then getting ready for the next wedding.

Jessica's wedding

Some of you may recognize Jessica. We were in the Dominican Republic together. She and her now husband, Nate, met at a leadership training for Cru before her second year in the DR. She was a huge part of my life that year and has continued to play a significant role. I was blessed to be invited to her wedding and was excited to be there with her.

At her wedding I was able to meet one of the current coordinators in Venezuela (where Nate, Jessica's husband served) and also briefly visit with a friend who is a coordinator in Mexico. I couldn't resist taking a picture where each person was from another country.

In about a week in a half I leave for Colorado where I will be taking 4 classes: Biblical Interpretation, Biblical Communication, God/Bible/Holy Spirit, & Old Testament Survey. With all of the craziness of this past month I have this week and a half to get some major reading done to be prepared for my classes.

These classes will be a great help for me as I am on campus and having to minister in different capacities.

I sent out a newsletter before leaving for Mexico (some may have received it recently, others a little bit later.) The newsletter had this picture:

As a team (missing Joel & Courtney) we were able to go out and celebrate the addition of new members to the team. It seems to me that those who were helping this year, will continue to help this following year. We will have two new additions: Sean (in the front left) will be part time with us and Courtney, (not pictured) will have her first intern year with us.

I am so very thankful for my team, my living situation, and for all of the Lord's provision through each one of you!

Please let me know how I may be praying for you!
